I discovered DCC, which is brought to you by Goodman Games, from a quite a few RPG YouTubers I follow. DCC introduces the concept of a Character Funnel that you run a BUNCH of quick peasants through. Most, if not all, of them WILL die. Those that survive, can then become an official Adventurer Player Character that you use in the campaign.
