The ALIEN RPG is a creation of Free League, a company whose games I’ve come to admire and appreciate.
Being enthusiastic fans of both the Alien franchise and H.R. Giger’s works, my wife and I were naturally drawn to this game. The lore within the ALIEN Role Playing Game is rich and captivating, and while I’ve yet to play it, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed poring over the game materials. Besides the rules and adventures listed below, I’ve also acquired the Game Mother screen and the custom dice, all of which can be found in the ALIEN RPG collection at the Free League store.
What sets the ALIEN RPG apart is a unique concept they’ve implemented called Cinematic Play. Cinematic Play utilizes pre-designed scenarios that mimic the dramatic structure of an ALIEN film. Tailored for single-session play, this mode of the game is all about high-stakes action that is both swift and brutal. Survival is not guaranteed, which adds an exciting element of unpredictability to the gameplay.
